I am not a drinker,
an inch of wine will do,
but this little tucked-in bar,
painted in a tone of red that excites me,
has a bar stool with my name carved deeply in the seat
and all along the legs.

My name is stitched
into the vinyl back rest
resplendent in black
on black
with my inch of wine,
and waving the magic wand of a bread stick,
or two,
I rule the world,
for just a little moment.
